Summary of Study Links Bedtime Rules to Better Skills in Preschool Children

The Study Links Bedtime Rules to Better Skills in Preschool Children for VOA Special English Health Report, say today the parents should enforce the bedtime of their son and daughter. They should know that the researchers say bedtime rules improve the development of boys and girls.

A new study foun that less sleep will affect to childrens and will lower abilities in language, reading and early math skills.

SRI policy researcher Erika Gaylor says doctors can easily try to get parents to set regular bedtimes. She help to the parents at follow bedtime routines for example reading books or telling stories to their children.

A study in the journal Sleep Medicine say the children who go to bed after nine o'clock and the childrens did not have bedtime routines sleep little and not help their development.

A separate study found that more sleep may even make a person run faster. A researcher Cheri Mah says sleep should be part of an athlete's training program because the good sleep help for a healthing life’s.
