Magic realism and reality

My favourite book is “La casa de los espíritus” this is the first novel of Isabel Allende which had a great success worldwide. This novel narrates the life of the family “Los Trueba” where the principal personage is Clara. The history impressed and captivated very much my attention because It tries to count the history or events of our country of a very particular form to invite to learn and discover our own history.

The history develops counting the life of the diverse prominent figures of the book, which are crossing and creating an interesting novel that keeps the reader always attentive to the development of the history.

But a very strong critique exists to this one book because is compared with the book “Cien años de Soledad” of the writer Gabriel García Mrquez, some readers say that the histories are almost equal, but in my opinion I liked the two histories.

I recommend this book to the persons that likes the combination between magic realism and reality and maybe to persons that are interested in the politics of our country or want to know a bit more of his history.

So, if you like to read a long but interesting book to fill of interesting and fantastic histories I recommend “La casa de los espíritus”.
